Just when the Apple iPhone 3G S was basking in the limelight of all websites, journals and tech-magazines, Samsung unveiled their new Samsung Jet Mobile Phone, which boasts of being smarter than a smartphone. Like the new Apple iPhone, this Samsung phone too is a full touch screen device. It comes with a whole new and advanced feature set, which seem to make this device very handy at all times.

First of all, this phone has a 3.1" AMOLED touch sensitive ultra-brilliant screen, which offers a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. AMOLED screens do not require an LED backlight. Hence this is a major contributor to the sleek design of this handset. It also helps save power; thus increasing battery life. The TouchWiz 2.0 user interface has been employed as well, which promises to give an unbeatable user experience.

Diving deeper into the technical details - An 800MHZ application processor has been used for delivering high speed performance. There is an internal memory of 2GB in this gadget, and you can extend memory up to 8GB with microSD cards. Being a 3G capable mobile phone, it guarantees high speed internet access. It is WiFi-ready and supports Bluetooth as well as USB connectivity. With its A-GPS capability, you can also get help with road navigation.

Packed with many multimedia features, this little entertainer makes a good companion during leisure or otherwise too. The 3D Media gate utility presents a 6-sided cube, which can be rolled to start a particular entertainment option. The 6 options include FM radio, music player, video player, games, internet and photo album. The multimedia players support various file formats. The music player has been integrated with DNSe and SRS WOW audio for producing powerful sound effects. A 3.5mm headphone jack is present in this music phone as well. There is a 5 Megapixel camera, with autofocus and LED flash, built into this gadget too. Shooting stills, video recording with 30 frames per second, video editing can all be done with this camera phone.

Browsing the internet is taken to a whole new level, with the native Dolfin browser. Apart from high speeds of web surfing, this browser also lets you open 5 web pages simultaneously and bookmark favourite  ones. It supports ad-blocking and multiple downloads. You can even zoom in or out with a single finger.

This cell phone also lets you stay on top of your work, with tools like, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync for wireless synchronisation of your phone and the exchange server. It lets you multitask too with the multitask Manager. A file editor for viewing TXT, PDF, PPT files is as well present in this handheld.

The Samsung Jet Full Touchscreen Phone, was recently presented in the 'Samsung Mobile UNPACKED' event held in London, Dubai and Singapore. This phone might be priced at around £500 and might be available by the end of June 2009.
