After the grand success of the Samsung Genio (called as Samsung Corby outside the UK), Samsung have taken things a few more steps further, with the Samsung M5650 mobile phone, or lovingly called the Samsung Lindy.
The Lindy is also a full touchscreen mobile handset like the Genio, and sports a 2.8" 320 x 240 pixels touch-display. The screen shares space with a navigation pad, the call send and end keys and the music control keys, on the front side. The blue and black colour combination does give it a youthful touch. The device weighs just 98g.
Coming to the offerings, the Lindy has outdone the Genio, with its 3.5G ability. The Genio is a GSM-only handheld. Therefore the Lindy will let you download stuff from the internet at high speeds. A download rate of 7.2Mbps is promised. Apart from browsing the web, you can even be socially active. The new mobile handset also supports social networks like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, YouTube to name a few. WiFi is supported too.
A media player and an FM radio are packed in this touchscreen phone for entertainment. A 3MP camera is housed in as well, letting you shoot stills and videos. Plus you get Bluetooth, microUSB connectivity and microSD card support.
The talktime this handheld promises is just 3 hours and the stand-by time is about 12 days. The Samsung Lindy Mobile Phone will most probably be hitting markets in Q1 of 2010. The price can be expected to be around €159. Compare mobile phone deals and checkout exclusive mobile phone offers from major UK retailers.
