Samsung Omnia HD Touchscreen Smartphone, did capture attention and admiration when it debuted in the Mobile World Congress, held in Barcelona recently. This is truly a photographer's mobile phone, with the 8 Megapixel Camera integrated within. This camera has auto-focus and an LED flash. Clicking pictures will be a pleasure as this camera offers face detection as well as smile detection. A feature to shoot panoramic views clearly, is present too. Video capturing is supported as well, allowing 24 frames to be shot per second. The resolution offered for videos is 1280 x 720 pixels. You also have the option of video editing, so you can make a nice home video or movie. Video playback is possible too, with formats like DivX, XviD, H.264, H.263, MPEG4, RealVideo and Windows Media being supported. Another impressive feature of this cell phone is the HDMI link housed in it. This link lets you connect this cell phone to a high definition television, and view your videos and pictures on the big screen. Not only this, the Omnia HD phone lets you transfer these videos and photographs to a computer as well. You may upload them to a website too, for sharing with near and dear ones.

This smartphone is also equipped with two stereo speakers which work in unison with certain audio enhancements, to produce suitable sounds. A number of audio formats are supported as well. Coming to the internal components and technologies of this device, the operating system that this 8mp camera mobile phone comes with, is the Symbian S60 Edition. Samsung has also added the TouchWiz user interface, that was previously seen with other super-hit Samsung phones. This interface offers a widgetised mobile desktop, which makes operating the phone very convenient.

A 3.7" touch sensitive screen is featured by this phone, which presents a resolution of  640 x 360 pixels. An accelerometer, built into this hand-set enables display rotation in accordance with orientation. Networking wise, this phone supports triband UMTS and quad band GSM. Great 3G download speeds (7.2 MBps) and upload speeds (5.76 MBps) can be achieved too. Being WiFi capable, you can surf the net in any WiFi hotspot. This phone has a built-in GPS receiver as well, with a compass and navigation applications. Document viewer and personal information management tools are also pre-loaded on this mobile phone. Other entertainment aspects include support for podcasts and 3D games. This device features an FM radio and a proximity sensor as well. The internal memory available is 8/16GB, which can be upgraded to 32GB with a microSD card. Samsung Omnia HD 8 Megapixel Camera Mobile Phone which seems like a 'jack of all trades', is expected to be available in the market some time soon.
