The Samsung S5250 Wave 2 mobile phone is affordable
samsung-wave-21The new smartphone Samsung Wave 2 is based on the Bada platform which is from Samsung for new generation mobile phones which support various applications. Although Bada is new, it is hoped that it would catch on. The handset comes with a reasonable number of features although it may not equal the high-end ones. Dominant is the large super AMOLED 3.2" 400x240 pixel display, which has an easy to navigate UI and a built in accelerometer for automatic rotation of display. The phone weighs around 118gms.

The mobile phone supports GPS, Wifi and connects to Internet using the TouchWiz interface. Besides organising personal information it can access social networks using "Social Hub", which puts phonebook, SNS, IM and email together into a one-page layout. The phone can operate without SIM if there is WiFi connectivity, like mini internet tablets, which is an advantage. Using USB connectivity and Bluetooth the phone can be used as a multimedia player, besides having games, a mobile tracker and a FM radio, it has a slot for MicroSD card for expandable memory. It has internal memory of 80MB. With a 3.5mm audio jack incorporated into it, this mobile phone can be a good MP3 player that can play FM Stereo.. The Samsung Wave 2 (S5250) and Wave 2 Pro (S5330) are similar touch-screen models, except that the Pro has a sliding QWERTY keypad considering mobile phone comparison.

The Samsung Wave 2 has a 3.0 mega pixel camera to shoot reasonably good pictures and video recordings. This Samsung phone has the versatile Bada operating system which could be standard in future and in later high end Samsung handsets, which is the advantage. It is priced around €429 (£375).
