Samsung W9600 Mobile Phone with Pico Projector

The Samsung W9600 Mobile Phone is a neat looking compact mobile phone which will not give away the fact that it hides a DLP pico-projector within, at one glance. It looks like how a mobile phone is supposed to look, with no ugly bulges or extensions sticking out. Hence, it should be much more easy to slip into the pocket when compared to other pico-projector phones like the LG eXpo GW820. The Samsung W9600 is supposed to be better (in terms of projection only, it seems) than its predecessor, the Samsung W7900 mobile phone, which is also a compact pico projector handset.

Currently, W9600 is only focussed on the South Korean market. Perhaps Samsung might make plans later to land this mobile handset into overseas markets as well.

This handheld was being shown off at CES, Las Vegas, this time round.

A Texas Instruments WVGA chip has been employed for the projection. The gadget can project images, videos and even the phone's interface on to a wall or screen. Up to 60 inches of projected image size is said to be possible, with a contrast ratio of 2000:1. This feature can be useful when giving presentations.

This Samsung W9600 Cell Phone has an AMOLED touch display, a 5 Megapixel camera and Bluetooth compliance. Apart from these specs, none of the other details are known as of now.
