Sony Ericsson Vivaz Smartphone is Sony Ericsson's latest lushly featured mobile handset. The mobile phone maker plans to release this device into markets, during Q1 of this year. This handheld has a fresh look with its "human curvature" design. This seems like a welcome change from the regular flat surfaced smartphones.

The Vivaz is an all-rounder. Be it staying in touch, socialising, networking, connectivity, entertainment, navigation etc, this device supports them all. It sports a 3.2" touchscreen with a resolution of 360 x 640 pixels. Nokia's Symbian S60 5th Edition OS runs on the inside. It has a 720MHz processor and a 75MB RAM. All the top-notch networking features, like WiFi and 3.5G compatibility are offered by this cell phone. Apps for accessing social networks like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube are present too. There is a document viewer housed in this device as well.
There are plenty of inter-device communication features integrated within. Like most modern-day cell phones, this one supports Bluetooth, microUSB connectivity and microSD cards. An 8GB card ships with the mobile phone deal as well. There is a 3.5mm audio output. Vivaz is home to an 8 Megapixel camera with autofocus and flash. It allows recording 720p videos at 25fps. Plus, a TV output is present too. HD videos from the phone can thus be watched on the big screen. GPS is also supported by this gadget and a trial version of the Wisepilot navigation software comes pre-loaded in it. Geo-tagging is supported as well.
Battery life for talk is quoted as 5 hours on 3G network and 13 hours on 2G network. 18 days of stand-by is said to be offered.
What the Sony Ericsson Vivaz Symbian Mobile Phone has to offer seems very impressive. It sports 4 eye-catching colours too - Venus Ruby, Cosmic Black, Moon Silver and Galaxy Blue. Let's hope the gizmo does get a UK release, unlike its older sibling the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2, which was dropped by Vodafone, some time back. Also, fingers crossed that it will not have software glitches like the Sony Ericsson Satio and the Sony Ericsson Aino.
