“All that emanates music is NOT a music player.” Sony Ericsson W995 2.6” Walkman Mobile Phone highlights just this. It is one of the powerful phones that were announced by the company during the GSMA Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona recently. Though small in size, this mobile phone offers a wealth of features. It is the first to feature Sony's “Media Go” service, which allows transfer of media files between your PC and Sony Ericsson phone. A USB cable is provided for this purpose and you can transfer music files, photos, podcasts, videos and more. Syncing your phone's music library, auto conversion of music files for optimum quality playback, organising the music files and subscribing to podcasts can be achieved with this service. Even video files transferred from the PC to the phone will be played with optimum quality and resolution on the 2.6” screen of this mobile phone. Apart from this, clear audio capabilities are achieved too, with the built-in stereo speakers. Another feature called 'Sense Me' allows sorting your music files according to mood or tempo.
On the networking front, this phone supports quad-band GSM, dual-band UMTS, stereo Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS with Google maps, modem capability, PC syncing, YouTube direct access and emailing. An internal memory of 118MB is available and the Memory Stick Micro slot of this walkman phone allows cards up to 8GB capacity. The battery life of this phone is supreme too with 9 hours of talk time, 20 hours for music and 5 hours for videos. The shake controlling feature is also offered by this phone. Another striking feature is the 8.1 Megapixel Cyber-shot camera which has a 16x digital zoom, image stabilisation, auto-focus, face detection, Sony's PictBridge, a flash, a video recorder & picture blogging. A 3.5mm headset is present in this Walkman phone too. Available in 3 colours namely Progressive Black, Energetic Red and Cosmic Silver, Sony Ericsson W995 8 Megapixel Camera Walkman Cell Phone seems to be an ideal mobile entertainer with camera apart from being a normal mobile phone.
