A few months back, there were reports of 2 gadgets from Sony Ericsson that were still in their development stages. They were the Sony Ericsson Rachael and the Sony Ericsson Kiki. Now it has turned out - these gadgets are actually part of the Sony Ericsson Xperia family. While the Kiki is named Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness, the Rachael is none other than Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 Smartphone!

The Xperia X3 is the mobile phone maker's first Android powered mobile handset. Being a high end smartphone, this device has been blessed with many features that make everyday tasks fast and simple. First of all, the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, which is currently the fastest mobile phone processor, has been incorporated in this handheld. It has a clock rate of 1GHz. WiFi is supported as well. The 3G networking ability makes internet surfing really quick. GPS functionality is offered too. Bluetooth connectivity is supported as well. The 4" screen is touch sensitive and has a high resolution of 854 × 480 pixels. An 8 Megapixel camera has been packed in also. Being a hifi camera, it comes with features like autofocus, LED flash, image stabilisation, smile shutter, face detection and more, to make photography a breeze. Both shooting videos as well as capturing stills can be done with this camera. On the storage front, microSDHC cards are supported by this gizmo.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 Android Mobile Phone will most probably land in the market during the month of January, next year.
