ZTE has announced its latest Android powered smartphone called ZTE Skate mobile phone. This device is compact and makes the user feel comfortable while carrying it. It works with a 800MHz processor and Android v2.4 (Gingerbread) operating system. The browser of ZTE Skate mobile phone is WAP 2.0/xHTML and HTML enabled and navigation feature is supported by A-GPS reciever.

The networking features of ZTE Skate mobile phone support 2G with tri-band GSM and 3G with HSDPA. The data transfer features of this handset are EDGE, GPRS and 3G. This device's wireless connectivity refers to Bluetooth with A2DP, EDR and the wired device-to-device connectivity points to microUSB. WLAN option is also included in this gadget.

The camera of ZTE Skate mobile phone comes with a resolution of 5MP (2592 x 1944 pixels). Autofocus, LED flash, video recording and geo-tagging are the supportive options included. Formats supported by audio and video players are MP3. WAV, eAAC+, MP4, H.263, H.264.

ZTE Skate mobile phone provides a TFT capacitive touchscreen display supported by 16 million colours. The screen size is 4.3 inches and its resolution is 480 x 800 pixels. Multi-touch input method, Accerlerometer and Proximity sensors are included in this device. The messaging features provided are MMS, SMS, IM, Email and Push Email. The phonebook and call records can save unlimited fields and entries. Photocall option is also included.

Some of the other features provided are SNS integration, Digital compass, Voice memo, third party application, Google Search, Maps, Gmail, Organizer, You Tube, Google Talk, Picassa integration, loud speaker, 3.5mm audio jack, MP3 and WAV ringtones. An expandable microSD memory of up to 32GB is offered by this mobile phone.

ZTE Skate mobile phone weighs about 120 grams. The battery of this mobile phone is standard Li-Ion.
